Some weeks after the installation of vertical wall elements some of these showed signs of detachment along the longitudinal edge of the element. A catastrophe occurring just before the handover of a huge complex because concealed installed elements are not to be replaced very easily.

The effort to replace all the elements in question in that stage of an almost completed building just spoke against the principle of proportionality.

In collaboration with the manufacturer and the company in charge of installing the elements we developed, planned and executed a concept to replace the single panels.

After exchanging the panels there was no depreciation regarding the appearance of the outside, the structural stability and the density of the building.

​

The structural stability of the remaining elements was secured through pull-out tests under randwom inspections.
